The video doorbell has good and crisp quality. Motion detection has worked good so far. I highly doubt it will get 120 days battery life because after 2 days it's already on 88% and that's on balanced surveillance. So, I'm not too thrilled with battery life after two days. Also, the HD Doorbell security Android app is so frustrating. Any time I change a setting like a different ringtone or even the volume of the ringtone or alarm it takes the app around 25 seconds to actually apply the change. And most times it'll say "Failed to connect to home base 3." When I delete recorded events, it'll say that it failed to delete them but then they delete fine. So idk what's going on with the HD Doorbell security Android app but it's so frustrating to use that I may end up returning the video doorbell because what good is the video doorbell with an app that only works halfway and even when it does work it takes forever to apply any changes you want to make or it fails and you have to repeat your steps. The cheap video doorbell I have, which is an off brand, has an app that works way better than the HD Doorbell security Android app and it was half the price almost. Other than a concern about battery life I really have no other issues with the actual video doorbell. My main problems is with the app you have to use to control the video doorbell. I like that the SD card is kept in the base inside the house. Feels more secure that way. I also like no cloud storage fees, no fees at all. That's great. Setup was fairly easy and installation was a breeze. Motion detection seems to be working well. Night vision is good too, although I wish it had color night vision. So, the hardware is pretty great. The doorbell looks sleek and doesn't look cheap. But the software/Android app is making me think about just returning the video doorbell. If the Android app and the connecting to home base problems can be fixed then this product would be a home run. I also tested the Android app with my wife's phone and the app is just as slow on it so it's not just my phone because we have different Android phones and they aren't cheap, slow Android phones either. I will update my review once I see how long the battery really lasts but as it stands I wouldn't really recommend this doorbell. Doorbell is great but the app you have to use to control and use the doorbell is a complete mess and I'd be really surprised if the doorbell lasted 2 weeks before needing recharged. But like I said before, I will update my review once I see how long the battery life really lasts.UPDATE: Company reached out to me after my review and offered a free upgrade to the 2k battery powered doorbell model. Excellent customer service. They did not ask me to change my review in exchange for the free upgrade. But for what it's worth, it's looking like the 1080p model will last me around 2 months on balanced surveillance. Unless battery life slows up I don't see it lasting much over 2 months. Guess I'll test out the 2k model now. Point is, HD Doorbell will make sure you're satisfied one way or another. And that deserves the extra star I gave them.
